Delphire is a Pasadena-based business targeting the grid-related wildfire problem for utilities. We developed a multi-sensor wildfire detection system that can operate in low connectivity (no cell service) environments to detect grid-related wildfires and report in seconds them along with a picture for confirmation.

About Gilberto DeSalvo, PhD

Dr. DeSalvo (Caltech Ph.D.; UCSB B.S.) is the CEO of Delphire Inc, a DOE SBIR-funded company advancing wildfire detection systems and AI technologies to minimize the impact of grid-related ignitions. Our systems improve situational awareness near power lines by providing visual confirmation of ignitions in seconds from anywhere. Prior to founding Delphire, Dr. DeSalvo was a Principal Investigator at Riclab and a scientist at Terray Therapeutics leveraging his expertise at the intersection of data science, AI/ML, complex precision data acquisition hardware systems, and robotics.
